Castello di Laterina, Valdarno, Tuscany
From 14 November to 27 December 2026, Piazza Grande fills with wooden stalls. Twenty minutes away, you sleep inside the walls of a medieval castle.
Arezzo Città del Natale returns from 14 November to 27 December 2026. Its heart is the Tyrolean Village in Piazza Grande, the sloping square lined with medieval palaces. In the old town you will also find Santa's House, in the Medici Fortress, and the Lego House, in the Palazzo della Fraternita dei Laici.

Until 16 December the markets are open from Thursday to Sunday, 10 am to 9 pm. From 17 to 27 December they open every day, 10 am to 8 pm. At weekends the square is packed: if you can choose, Thursday and Friday are quieter.
Hours and programme may change. Before you set off, check the official website: mercatininatalearezzo.it
The castle is 16 kilometres from Arezzo: less than twenty minutes by car along the SS69. On market weekends the car parks near the centre fill up early, so it is best to arrive in the morning. Alternatively, take the regional train: the Laterina stop is five minutes by car from the castle, the ride to Arezzo station takes about twenty minutes, and from there you walk into the centre.
Getting here →After the crowds in the square, you come back to a medieval village that is still lived in, where the evenings are quiet. You stay in a whole apartment, with a kitchen and its own heating, for up to four people. Bed linen and final cleaning are included.

Last year the market weekends were fully booked. If you already have dates in mind, check now which apartments are free: when you book on this website, you deal with us directly.
